Prayer: Daily Offering

Eucharistic Spirituality: At Mass we enter into Christ's one time sacrifice for our redemption. At Mass we offer ourselves in union with Christ.

Each day begins with a daily offering(see prayer below): then throughout the day we offer our prayers to Christ, we offer our actions and work to Christ, we offer our sufferings and joys to Christ. This gives Meaning to all that we do. Example: If... we have a difficult job to do we can wallow in self pity, we can get angry, or we can offer that difficult job to God united to Christ's sacrifice in the Holy Mass. Then in the Evenings we ask: What did I offer to God today? What good did I offer? What was NOT worthy of God. Then when we go to Mass, during the Eucharistic prayer we offer all to God the FAther, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit. Here is the daily offering prayer to begin each day with:

Daily Offering

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for our diocese, our parish, and in particular for the prayer intentions of our Holy Father.
